Bachelor of Fine Art Show - BYU-Idhao

The Spori Art Gallery does not get much notice from many students. However the gallery is a constantly changing scene of art. Now there is a particularly specialized show going on. The Bachelor of Fine Art Show is put on by students from BYU-I graduating in art. However, they do not all show the same types of art. The students have art projects that are in many different areas such as pottery, graphic design, illustration, photography, paintings and more.

For many students that are not art student the only time they might see this particular art show if for the class FA 100. Going on a tour of the art gallery is one of the requirements for the FA 100 class.

Even if you go to the gallery by your own accord the time spent looking at the art is dwarfed by the time it took to make the art.

Shannon Decker said: “I love looking at paintings… I love watching the way people use paints to you know mixing colors and showing expression.” Daniel Jenson has been to art galleries and museums since he was little “…just seeing the artists and the different ways that they took to present art to us is really cool” he said

The art show will be going on till the end of the Fall 2009 semester, which is December eighteenth. There is no fee to for this gallery.
